Farmers Market Assistant Manager

Job Overview:

The Farmers Market Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of coordinating the Sunday Farmers Market. They will work directly with the market manager, vendors, entertainers, and the Meadows Farmers Market Leadership Team to provide the best farmers market experience for attendees and vendors onsite for Season 3 from December 2023- April 2024.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist in the setup, tear-down, and care of market operations equipment. Ensure complete market set up each market day so that vendors are in proper stalls, the market booth is set up, and all on-site and daily signage is installed.
Work with the Farmers Market Committee to review, update, or create events, marketing campaigns, and procedures.
Design and execution of market setup and flow.
Assist with the market’s social media platforms.
Assist with marketing campaigns and community outreach.

Skill & Qualifications:
A genuine love for farmers markets and the products and experiences they offer.
Strong written, oral, organizational, and communication skills.
Basic Computer Skills and the willingness to learn software relevant to the position.
Proven leadership experience including providing staff oversight, mentoring and development, and establishing department goals and objectives.
Experience with event execution and familiarity with basic equipment and logistics.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Creative and basic knowledge of major social media platforms.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Self-directed but able to work collectively as a team player.
Capable of overseeing a project from start to finish or jumping in mid-stream.
Willingness to work in the elements (heat, rain, cold, temperatures, etc.).
Ability to work Sundays twice a month 'and meet once a week for team meetings. Dec 23'-April 24
Able to assertively and respectfully enforce rules as needed.
Must be able to professionally represent the Meadows Farmers Market to the public.
