Job Description: Event Management Intern

The Meadows Farmers Market is looking for a creative and detail-oriented student to join our team. We are looking for an intern that is enthusiastic about sustainability and supporting our local businesses. The event management intern will be given the opportunity to use their creative skills to elevate our project, so we can reach more people in our community for Season 3 from December 2023- April 2024.

Position Summary:

The Event Management Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in the planning and execution of market events
Attend markets and ensure everything runs smoothly
Help direct and train market volunteers
Assist in the development of market classes/workshops
Communicate and direct market vendors
Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to help grow the market
Report on events and assist in the development of market procedures

Job Requirements:
Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
Must be proficient in basic design programs and Microsoft Office.
Strong leadership skills
Ability to multi-task
Writing and proofing skills required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
Organized, dependable and detail-oriented
Team Player
Quick Learner and Efficient
Able to work well under pressure
