Job Description: Social Media Manager

The Meadows Farmers Market is looking for a creative Social Media Manager to join our team who will report directly to the Marketing Director. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about sustainability and supporting our local businesses. The social media manager will be given the opportunity to lead the social strategy and digital team with their creative skills to elevate our outreach, so we can reach more people in our community for Season 3 from December 2023- April 2024.

Position Summary:

The Social Media Manager’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
Work with management to help develop a social strategy for each month.
Lead the Social Design Team to produce engaging content
Design engaging graphics for social media, newsletters, flyers, etc.
Help manage social media channels
Growth hacking strategies to build an online following on each social platform
Report on the performance of social posts - ad spend
Assist in the design of marketing materials and project needs
Run paid ad campaigns to drive higher attendance to the market on different platforms
Manage monthly social budgets to create ROI
Educate team on trends happening
Photograph content of vendors, artists, activities, and what's happening at the market
Must be available on Sundays the Holiday Markets take place each month to capture pictures and lead the social team to generate engaging reels and posts of the vendors

Job Requirements:
Social Media Certifications or Marketing/ Communication Degree is a plus but not required
SEO Certifications are a plus
Experience in Managing AD budgets and generating ROI for businesses is a must.
Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
Must be proficient in design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software.
Must be proficient in Canva Design and other design apps
Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and upcoming trends
Writing and proofing skills required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames while leading a 1-2 person team.
Organized, dependable and detail-oriented

Able to work well under pressure
Self-reliant and motivated on their own to complete projects with new creative ideas
Ability to complete deadlines on time without being micromanaged.
Must have fun and want to give back to the community.
